Why You Should buy a Samsung device instead of a Tecno phones

I just ran into this topic. And if with all my years of working on the Android platform and I don't comment then I have left most Nigerians mislead. The name is techno the other is Samsung. And for those of u even comparing that name to techno to the name Samsung, I guess u have been paid by techno to help promote their cheap hardware. Now let's start with hardware.

Samsung hardware is far too superior for techno, techno have to sell their phones cheap so they don't have to spend too much money on making a hardware to compare with the likes of Apple Nokia Sony or HTC. But that's the category Samsung belongs, the competitive zone. Samsung has to build their hardware to meet the standards of other oem's but techno don't have to cos they believe Nigerians are dummies that will use anything sold for a price that equals a waste product. Samsung uses some of the best chips in the mobile industry, the exynos chip and the snapdragon, what those tecno use? Some worthless chip with bad processing power. Samsung uses some of the best display technology in the super amoled display, what those tecno use? Some screen looking like a phone of the early 2000. And for the battery Samsung phones pack very powerful chipset which requires good energy to process data at a fast pace so the battery has to be at his best. Techno phones don't really need powerful batteries cos they already have a chip of no value and display is like a wrist watch. As for the cameras, Samsung packs some very good cameras that can compete with Apple Sony and other oem. But tecno 5mp equals the 3mp on a Nokia Asha phone, what a shame!.

Now let's look at their software, the only reason why apple(crapple) keeps taking Samsung to court in my own thinking is cos they can't cope with the kind of innovation Samsung brings to software design. Smart stay, smart pause, smart scroll, air gestures, smart commands, multiwindow, pop-up play, spen innovations and many others. My friend tecno phones lacks innovation all they do is pack an unbacked Android os into some cheap hardware.

Now let's talk about updates. When u buy a Samsung device at a high price it is because u are paying for other services as well which includes updates. Tecno doesn't care about updates. If u buy a Tecno device on Android 4.2 that's the end of the life of the Android os.

So my fellow chomiepedia readers am not pushing Tecno of the way totally, if u can't afford a Samsung device then buy a tecno device to get a taste of Android but when u decide to compare Samsung to Tecno that's were u been very ignorant and very biased.

The Nigeria market isn't wanna of Samsung strong hold so Tecno innovation doesn't really bother them as a company.

I conclude by saying buy Tecno if u can't afford Samsung but by Samsung if u can afford it and stop been mislead.

Blackberry conceals two phones before release

BlackBerry had to cancel more than its conference this year. Fearing poor sales, the beleaguered company also had to cancel two phones that were still in development.

"The company also made the decision to cancel plans to launch two devices to mitigate the identified inventory risk," reads BlackBerry's third-quarter earnings report published Friday. The Wall Street Journal came across the buried tidbit Monday.


The two phones were code-named Café and Kopi, and BlackBerry had plans to market them as low-cost devices, unnamed sources told the Journal.

The news coincides with BlackBerry's announcement that it's canceling its annual BlackBerry Live conference. The company last week reported third-quarter losses of $4.4 billion and said it sold only 1.9 million smartphones last quarter, a sharp decline from the 3.7 million the previous quarter.

While many people may spend Christmas Eve doing last-minute gift shopping, two American astronauts have a more challenging matter to attend to Tuesday.


In orbit more than 200 miles above the planet, Flight Engineers Rick Mastracchio and Mike Hopkins are set to embark on a spacewalk to repair part of the International Space Station's cooling system.

It will be the second Christmas Eve spacewalk in history, according to NASA.

The two engineers will be carrying out the second in a series of expeditions needed to replace a malfunctioning pump, which circulates ammonia through loops outside the station to keep equipment cool.

The pump developed problems December 11, when an internal valve stuck in an incorrect position. The space station's life support system remains up and running, but operations were cut back as a result of the failure, NASA said.

The two astronauts spent about five and half hours outside the space station on Saturday working to remove the problematic pump. They are scheduled step out again Tuesday at 7:10 a.m. ET to install a new one.

If everything goes according to plan, the repair job will be completed Tuesday.

Spacesuit problem

Mastracchio will be using a different spacesuit after a small amount of water leaked into the cooling system of the one he wore on Saturday.

NASA said the issue with the suit, which happened at the end of the spacewalk, was unrelated to a problem experienced in July, when water pooled in an Italian astronaut's helmet, causing a spacewalk to be cut short.fb.com/vaderv

Evaluate each goal and make changes as needed to ensure that your goals are SMART. Specific A specific goal is distinct, straightforward, and clearly defines what you want to accomplish. It should not contain any ambiguous language. To ensure that your goal is clearly defined, address the following "W" questions: Who: Identify who is involved? Is this a personal goal or a goal that involves others? An example of a goal that involve others is a manager setting a goal for the team. What: Define what to accomplish. What are you going to do? Use action words like develop, build, organize, learn, etc. Where: Identify the location(s) if this applies to the defined goal. When: Set a time frame for the goal to be accomplished. Which: Identify the requirements for the goal. It is also important to identify and understand the constraints. Why: This is really important! Understand the specific reason, purpose or benefits of accomplishing the goal. Having a compelling WHY helps you to focus your effort and motivates you to attain the goal. Ensure that your goals are specific and clearly defined. An example of a specific goal will be "I want to go back to school to get a Bachelor degree in Computer Science." It's not just "I want to go back to school." It's stating exactly what type of degree you want to obtain. Measurable A measurement provides feedback and lets you know when the goal is achieved. As you reach your target date on the short-terms goals, you experience a sense of excitement that stimulates you to intensify your efforts at achieving your goals. Attainable After your goals are identified, you begin to figure out how to accomplish them. In the process, you develop new attitude, abilities, skills and financial capability required to reach your goals. You begin to pay closer attention to previously overlooked opportunities that brings you closer to achieving your goals. Almost any goal is attainable when you plan wisely and establish a time frame that allows you to reach that goal. However, if your goals are too far out, there is a high probability that you won't commit to doing it when you know that it's too much for you. Work on developing yourself, and with time you just might have gathered enough resources to achieve those seemingly insurmountable goals. Realistic Realistic goals are challenging yet attainable within the given time frame. The goal needs to be realistic for you and where you are at the moment. A goal of losing 50 pounds in one month may be unrealistic for someone who has never exercised and enjoys carbohydrates. Set goals that you can attain with some effort. When the goal is too difficult to attain, you might be setting yourself up to fail. On the other hand, setting a goal that doesn't require too much effort to achieve exerts low motivational force. It sends the message that you are not capable. Make your goals high enough that you feel some sense of satisfaction after achieving such goals. In the example given earlier, someone who wants to go back to school to get a degree in Computer Science will put in a lot of hours to study, do homework, and write codes. After getting the degree, such a person experiences the exhilaration of achievement. Timely Set an aggressive, yet realistic time frame for the goal. Putting an end point to your goal creates a sense of urgency and gives you a target to work towards. For me personally, when I don't set time to accomplish a goal, my commitment is vague. I tend to procrastinate because I feel like I can start at any time. Without a time limit, there is no urgency to take action immediately. Be sure to allocate an appropriate time frame to your goal. The time must be attainable and realistic. My challenge to you Everyone can benefit from goals that are SMART. Setting SMART goals gives you a sense of purpose. My challenge to you is to set a goal and accomplish it! No excuses.

FIFA REVEALS BRAZIL WORLD CUP TICKET PRICE

Ticket prices for international fans attending the football World Cup in Brazil will start at $90 (£59, 69 euros) for initial group matches.

Football's governing body Fifa announced that the cheapest ticket for overseas fans for the final on 13 July was $440 (£288) and the most expensive $990 (£650), the BBc reports. 

The tournament starts on 12 June next year, with the first game being played in Sao Paulo. Tickets will go on sale from 20 August. 

Fans have until 10 October to apply and a ballot will be held to decide which of these applications are successful. Only later will tickets be sold on a first come, first served basis. In total about three million tickets will be available for fans.

Palm frond: The palm is a very important leave. The Catholic Church use is during Palm Sunday to signify Christ the king. In olden days and even in recent times the palm is used by road users during riot or protest. It signifies peace. If there is a riot and you must use the road, you have to put the palm on your car to signify peace.

TOWN CRIER: If you have been to any village in Nigeria you will be familiar with the town cries. They go around the village announcing about important events in the village. The town crier use instruments like drum or gongs.
SETTING BUSHES ON FIRE: This mode of communication is used to alert passerby. One has to be aware of this mode of communication because if you are marooned in the forest you need this means of communication to alert people at a distance that someone needs help.
GONG: The gong can also be used to make an announcement without saying anything. Some boarding schools also use this means of communication. Once the gong bear hits the gong everybody in the village gathers to a particular location known to all.
GUN POWDER: The gun powder is used for important dignitaries. It is used for burial of kings and to welcome important guest in a communication.

Van Bommel, who spent the 2011-12 season at San Siro, has claimed that he and his colleagues at Milan were of the opinion that Messi would struggle to score more than 30 goals in a campaign if he played in Italy.
